Qonfidant ("Qonfidant," "we," "us") is operated by HyperConnector. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. Qonfidant is an adults-only (18+) app for sexual self-knowledge, sexual-health awareness, and personal safety. Because some of the information you share is sensitive, we hold it to a higher standard of care.

Qonfidant handles information about your sexual activity and sexual health. We treat this as sensitive / consumer health data and apply the protections described below, including separate consent and a broad right to delete.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. Your email address and the sign-in method you use (email, Apple, or Google). We do not receive your Apple/Google password.

Profile & handle. A pseudonymous handle, pronouns, and any profile details you choose to add. Your handle is what other users see; your underlying account identity is not shown to them.

Encounters and your private reports. When two users mutually confirm an encounter, we store that consented record. Your relative reports about an encounter (used to calibrate your private self-insight) are visible only to you and our servers — never to the other person.

Sexual-health information. If you opt in, self-reported test results, PrEP status, and testing cadence. This information is stored separately from your public identity, is used only to compute risk and timing guidance, and is never attached to a named person in any alert.

Safety & location. If you start a safety session, your approximate location is shared with the trusted contacts ("circle") you designate, only while the session is active, and is deleted when the session ends. If you trigger SOS, we share your location with an emergency-dispatch provider.

Device & usage data. A push-notification token, and standard diagnostic/usage data used to operate and improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide the features you turn on — calibrated self-insight, anonymous sexual-health risk and test-timing, and personal safety.
Crowd computations — aggregated, de-identified calculations across users (e.g., calibration and exposure signals). These never expose one person's data to another.
Safety escalation — notifying your chosen circle and, on SOS, an emergency-dispatch provider.
Communication — service messages, and support you request.

3. Sensitive & Consumer Health Data

Where applicable law (such as Washington's My Health My Data Act and comparable state laws) applies, we: collect and process consumer health data only with your consent or as strictly necessary; obtain separate consent before any sharing; do not sell it; and honor your right to withdraw consent and to have it deleted. The sexual-health network operates on de-identified data, and alerts never reveal who or what.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal or health information. We share only:

Service providers who run the app for us (e.g., Google Firebase / Google Cloud for hosting and authentication; an emergency-dispatch provider used only when you trigger SOS).
Aggregated / de-identified data for the crowd features, which cannot reasonably identify you.
Legal compliance where required by law, and in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or asset sale).

5. Data Retention & Ephemerality

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Location during a safety session is ephemeral and purged on end. You may revoke a consented encounter at any time, which retroactively removes its contribution to shared computations.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Access & correct the information we hold about you.
Delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account), or by contacting us.
Per-feature consent — self-insight, the health network, and safety are independent and off unless you enable them; you can withdraw consent.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Not Medical or Emergency Advice

Qonfidant's health features are informational and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The safety features are best-effort and are not a substitute for calling 911 or your local emergency services.

9. Age Restriction

Qonfidant is only for adults 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy and will post the revised version with a new effective date; we will notify you of material changes.
